Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

At Knock Knock Tech Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information through our global real estate platform, which connects Buyers, Tenants, Landlords, Agents, Developers, and Home & Financial Services Providers, and your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the UAE Federal Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL), the DIFC Data Protection Law No. 5 of 2020, the Brazil General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018, "LGPD"), and any other applicable data protection laws in the user's jurisdiction. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

Types of Data Collected

  • Personal Data: email, first and last name, phone number, address, state, province, ZIP/postal code, city, usage data, and preferences.
  • Agent-entered third-party Data: when an Agent enters a third party's contact details (for example, a property owner's or client's name, phone, or email — including via the "My Property" feature), the Agent acts as the controller of that data and is solely responsible for the lawful basis and consent. Knocknock acts as operator/processor and handles the data only to provide the Service. We assume no liability for the Agent's non-compliance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Location Data: precise GPS location with your explicit consent; you may disable it, which may affect certain features.
  • Device Data: access to camera, photo library, and contacts, which is voluntary and managed through your device settings.
  • Bot-Collected Data: property data collected through automated systems on platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram; retained only as necessary and deletable in-app.
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date, device identifiers, and similar diagnostic data.
  • Third-Party Social Media: where you log in via Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn, data associated with that account (such as name, email, and contacts).

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies, web beacons, tags, and scripts. Cookie types include Necessary/Essential (session), Cookies Notice Acceptance (persistent), and Functionality (persistent). You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function.

Use of Your Personal Data

We use personal data to provide and maintain the Service; manage your account; perform our contract with you; contact you (email, calls, SMS, push notifications); provide news and offers (with opt-out); manage your requests; carry out business transfers; and for analytics and service improvement. We may share data with service providers, affiliates, business partners, other users (in public interactions), in connection with business transfers, for legal compliance, and with your consent.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Personal data may be disclosed during user interactions (with consent or as necessary), to facilitate transactions, for legal compliance, to service providers, in business transactions (such as a merger or acquisition), and to law enforcement where required. Property data may be shared with third-party listing or marketing platforms. Personal data is shared with third parties only where necessary to complete a transaction (for example, payment providers or legal consultants) or as required by law.

Payment Information

Our Platform operates on a subscription model and also offers one-time payments. Payments are processed by third-party providers compliant with PCI-DSS. We do not store card numbers or banking details.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy or to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period unless needed for security or functionality.

International Transfer

Your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. Your consent to this Policy and your submission of information represent your agreement to such transfers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and that adequate safeguards are in place.

Your Rights and Deletion

You may delete or request deletion of your personal data via your account settings or by contacting us (subject to legal retention requirements). Under applicable laws (GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD), you have rights to access, rectification, deletion, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. Requests: admin@knocknock.me.

Data Security

We employ industry-standard practices, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure cloud-based databases, and role-based access restricted to authorized personnel. No system is fully secure, and you should safeguard your credentials.

Bots

We use automation, including bots on WhatsApp, Telegram, and our app, to streamline interactions and collect property-related data. Such data is retained only as necessary and can be deleted in-app; properties created appear in the "My Properties" section.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Under Brazil's LGPD (art. 14), data of a child (under 12) requires specific and prominent consent from a parent or legal guardian, and adolescents (12–18) receive special protection. If we become aware that we have collected a minor's data without the required consent, we delete it.

Data Protection Officer

You can contact our Data Protection Officer at admin@knocknock.me. For residents of Brazil, see the Brazil Privacy Supplement.

Compliance and Changes

We operate in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, CCPA, UAE PDPL, DIFC Data Protection Law, and the LGPD, and take reasonable measures for cross-jurisdiction transfers. We may update this Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date; material changes will be notified by email or a prominent notice.
